Businesses, city preparing for total Walnut St. rehab

Not murder; self defense
To just about everyone's relief, it wasn't a murder.

The incident that captured the headlines and social media Monday morning began just after midnight at 12:44 a.m., when officers with the North Vernon Police Department responded to the area of the City Park just south of FDR Drive. A concerned citizen called 911 when they noticed what appeared to be a person laying in the grass behind a nearby business.
