CASAs needed to help these kids have a future
To illustrate and bring awareness to the need for Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers in our local community, Advocates for Children will be regularly highlighting one case each month currently on our waiting list. City finalizes ownership of old golf course
The City of North Vernon is now in possession of the former Muscatatuck Country Club/Ford's Crossing golf course smacking the middle of the city.
The closing was held Tuesday afternoon.
The North Vernon Revedelopment Board will be the funding source of the property purchased from Dean Ford of Dupont who purchased the property in 1999 for $400,000 after the private Muscatatuck Country Club voted to disband due to mounting debt. Ford leased the property as a golf course for several years until 2013.
