The City of North Vernon will embark on a new "Comprehensive Plan" this year with the goal of having the thick "roadmap" completed by the end of the year.
The Area Plan Commission will have a meeting Monday, March 2 at 6 p.m. at the Government Center in Vernon.
The following rezone requests will be heard:
Larry Perry, 3305 N. Washington St., Butlerville, who wants to rezone the property from residential single family to commercial planned business. This is to bring the property into compliance with the Jennings County Unified Zoning Ordinance (JC UZO).
Morin Properties, Inc., 44 W. Walnut St., NV, wants to rezone the property form commercial to residential two family. to bring the property into compliance with JC UZO.
NV Properties, LLC, 508 E. Buckeye St., to rezone the property from commercial to residential multi-family to bring the property into compliance with the UZO.
Show Cause Hearings
The following show cause hearings will be heard to clean property of trash, litter and debris. Owners have not complied with previous requests to clean up:
Alan Blessing, 356 Honeylocust Court, Country Squire Lakes, as well as to remove any unlicensed/ inoperable vehicles.
Victor Davis and residents, 450 Honeylocust Court, CSL, as well as any unlicensed/inoperable vehicles.
Gary and Lisa Foster, 3231 Bradberry Place, CSL, as well as any unlicensed/inoperable vehicles.
Vinod Gupta and residents, 106 W. Walnut St., NV, as well as any unlicensed/inoperable vehicles. They have also been notified that a commercial zoned property cannot be used as a residence.
Paul and Nancy Hutt and resident, 5980 SR 7N, Scipio, as well as any unlicensed/inoperable vehicles.
Lloyds Acceptance Corp. and resident, 1200 Fern Grove Ave., CSL, as well as any unlicensed/
Christopher Louden, 3398 Rothshire Circle, CSL, as well as any unlicensed/inoperable vehicles.
Wayne and Cherry Pyatt, 5710 Highway 50E, Butlerville, as well as any unlicensed/inoperable vehicles.
Rosalyn White, 3425 N. Main St., Butlerville, as well as any unlicensed/inoperable vehicles.
Alfred and Jacqueline Woulms, 2875 Rupelton Way, CSL, as well as any unlicensed/inoperable vehicles.
Roy Young, Jr., 500 E. CR 175N, has converted his agriculturally zoned property into apartments without obtaining the proper permits or zoning approval to convert the structure.
Bids will be opened for clean up of the following property: Allean Spencer, 106 W. Poplar St.; Sean M. Robbins, 1477 Greenwood Place, CSL; CSL Properties, 1036 Country Manor East, CSL.
Old business to be addressed is Butlerville Schools and the Ordinance Review committee.
