The dedication, training and sacrifice it takes to be a police officer is significant, and at 24-years-old, Adam Driver of North Vernon has proved his dedication by graduating from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in Plainfield as a member of the North Vernon Police Department (NVPD). Miller's Tavern, a dining staple in North Vernon, celebrates their grand reopening on April 8. The restaurant had offered lunch and dinner carryout back in December 2020 after a nine-month renovation, but opened back up to allow dining in as well as serving breakfast on Thursday. The body of Kristina "Krissy" Jones was discovered in this residence just north of Holton in Ripley County on Jan. 11. A man suspected of being responsible for Krissy's death was arrested on March 26 in Jennings County. An initial hearing took place three days later. Thursday, April 8, 2021
