Poll locations for June 2 Primary
The Jennings County Election Board voted to combine poll locations and use the school buildings, instead of the county's traditional locations.
The following is a list of the precincts and where voters will have to go to vote:
Bigger, Campbell, Columbia: Brush Creek Elementary. 4275 E. U.S. 50, North Vernon
Center East, Center West, Sandcreek: Jennings County Middle School, 820 W. Walnut St., North Vernon
Geneva 1 East, Geneva 1 West, Geneva 2, Geneva 3: Scipio Elementary, 6320 N. State Hwy. 7, Scipio
Lovett, Marion, Montgomery: Graham Creek Elementary, 7910 S. CR 90W, Commiskey
NV-1A, NV-1B, NV-2A, NV-2B, NV-3A, NV-3B, NV-4A, NV-4B: North Vernon Elementary School, 810 W. Walnut St., North Vernon
Spencer North, Spencer South: Hayden Elementary, 55 S. CR 685W, Hayden
Vernon East, Vernon West: Jennings County Middle School, 820 W. Walnut St., North Vernon
NV pool, splash pad to open soon
Chad Speer, director of the North Vernon Parks and Recreation Department, said he hopes to open the splash pad around June 5 and the pool on June 14. See page 12A for more information.
Jennings County has reported its fourth death related to COVID-19, the serious respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
According the Indiana State Department of Health, the number of confirmed cases in the county Tuesday stood at 127, with 572 people tested.
Tuesday's report shows the number of reported daily deaths has decreased to 18, bringing the total to 1,850; there were 373 new infections, bringing the total to 32,078. Nearly 230,800 Hoosiers have been tested.
Surrounding counties: Bartholomew reports 481 total cases, 33 deaths; Jefferson, 41 cases, one death; Scott, 118 cases, three deaths; Decatur, 112 cases, 31 deaths; and Jackson, 367 cases, one death.
Nationally, confirmed COVID-19 deaths are likely to surpass 100,000 this week.
