Sidewalk Construction Pleases NV Residents
It is official. A full mile of new sidewalks has been laid in North Vernon by the city (as of Oct. 13, 1992). New sidewalks were installed on South State, Hoosier and Jackson streets this year (1992) with all of the work done by the North Vernon Street Department and with help from volunteers.

Simple Truth
We human beings are wonderful at taking simple things and making them complicated.
When I grew up, we had four channels on our television set that would actually give us a picture. If one of the stations was not clear, we would walk outside and twist our antenna slightly to lock in a stronger signal.
Remember back when how you only could only get four TV channels but there was always something to watch? Now we have 100 channels and cannot find something worth watching.
