It is a new year. How are those New Year's resolutions panning out so far in 2018?
Barna Research reveals that while surveying over 1,000 people, less than 1 percent have a goal to pursue a relationship with the Lord. How sad.
That can be devastating for our lives, since our relationship with the Lord is key to having a meaningful life.

Looking down on a golden eagle
Glacier National Park is a land of glaciers and steep mountains that are snow-capped year round. It's a land of lakes and rivers and there is a network of hiking trails. It's a rugged land, crossed by one road called the "Going to the Sun Highway." It's the place of one of the most memorable sights I ever had.

Fire Department
A new fire chief and an interim board have been appointed as part of the reorganization of the Scipio-Geneva Township Volunteer Fire Department that was implemented on Jan. 12 (1993).
The local firefighters will be working under the leadership of new fire chief Mike Burkman.

Newly Elected
Commissioners Busy
Newly elected Democrats on the Jennings County Board of Commissioners wasted no time in replacing Republican-affiliated personnel at the highway department and on several boards.
Patrick "Skip" Fry and Russell "Whitey" Richardson took office Jan. 1, 1993, joining Ronald Foist as commissioners. All three are Democrats.
The commissioners replaced 17 highway department workers who are Republicans on Jan. 4, 1993.
