Joe, Julie and Hope Diekhoff spent New Year's Eve with us and we had a couple rousing games of Scrabble while hubby watched television. Pastor Connie Barr's Epiphany Sunday message title was "God's Light Leads Us to Jesus," taken from scripture Matthew 2:1-12. She spoke of the wise men following the star to find Baby Jesus. We should note that more than three wise men were involved in the long trip which would have reaches from our California to the distance across the U.S. How long do you think it would have taken to ride camels that far? The important thing to remember is they were following in faith, and we must also follow Jesus in faith, not letting Satan interfere with temptations. "Bring your gifts and talents to Jesus Christ."
