Hay season demands some careful analysis
Hay season is in swing! With this in mind, it is important to start thinking about how this hay will be sorted and utilized in your operation.Throughout the season, hay values can dramatically change. Tremendous variation exists in nutrient composition between different cuttings even if they were harvested from the same field. This may be due to environmental conditions - whether the field stayed dry or, on the other hand, had an extended wet period. It may also be due to stage at which the cutting was made.

Drinking the living water
Apparently my mother was correct when she said, "You need to drink more water."
I don't know how often I heard her say those words. They were spoken, of course, with care and love, not as condemnation.
But root beer, ginger ale and cream soda all taste so good while water is, well, just water, and that's not very exciting for the taste buds.
So how does a person learn to drink more water?
How often do we hear, "Is there an 'app' for that?" The answer in this case is, "Yes."

Wildey is new coach
Making the selection form over 50 applicants, the members of the Jennings County School Board on Thursday (June 20, 1991) named Kendall Wildey as the new Jennings County High School boys basketball coach.
Wildey, a native of Jennings County and a JCHS graduate, will succeed Joe Null in this important coaching positions.
One of the three finalists was Danny Brown, assistant cage coach at JCHS for last year and one of the all-time roundball greats for the Panthers.
But Wildey got the needed recommendation for the post from Charles Hurley, JCHS principal, and Steve Arnholt, athletic director. The board approved these two administrators' recommendation 5-0 with two members abstaining in the vote.
One of those abstaining was Morris Wildey, president of the school board. Morris is Kendall's father, and he not only abstained from voting but also abstained from any discussion of whom the new coach would be.

June is Men's Health Month, a good time to raise awareness of the dangers of smoking by men.
However, women are not exempt from those dangers, either.

Why Jesus loves all broken people
One of the characteristics I have noticed about people that go to church is the desire to seem like we have everything all together.
We hate to show weakness or allow others to know that we have struggles. I am not sure why we feel that we must all be perfect people with no problems or flaws. Instead of being authentic about our struggles and pains, we paint smiles on our faces and walk in/out the door, all while swallowing down the way we really feel about life at times.
