New Bethel News
With current circumstances, I'm sure you know I do not have much real news from this area; but I'll let you know we are still out here in the farming area of Jennings County. We are m mostly staying home within our own walls since our age says "high risk" for the dreaded virus and Hocker also has the risk of low immunity due to his remission status from lymphoma a few years ago. Hope Diekhoff is our important gopher between houses and she is doing her best to stay healthy and out of the public eye these days.

Pastor Connie Barr's March 15 sermon title was "Jesus Meets His enemies With Faith, Not Fear," taken from Matthew 26:47-56. She also referred to Mark 14:51 and reminded all that faith is powerful. The message was based on Jesus and his friends going into the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. Terry Sargent read the Old Testament scripture from Exodus 3:1-15. The morning message was taped and plans are to being running our messages on Facebook for those who cannot come to worship services. Our morning count was about 30, but several of the elder regulars were absent due to the recent viral outbreak in the U.S.
