A bicycle belonging to Elijah Campbell was stolen from the front porch of the Scott Thornton home in the northern part of the city in broad daylight Monday morning and the thief made good his escape as no trace of him has since been located. Friday, March 26, 2021

Mad Dog Scare Word was received here Tuesday of a dog which was supposed to be mad, running amuck on the streets of Vernon. A posse of citizens armed with guns chase the animal and after unloading several shots into its body, we understood it became really angry and left town never to return. 25 Years Ago Ryan Marion of Graham Creek School cuts up the Plain Dealer during classtime. Through the support of local business, the newspaper provided to classrooms such as Ryan's and utilized as a "hometown tool" in the education process. Friday, March 12, 2021
