Jack Earl Sanders, 79, of Paris Crossing died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at his residence.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation is planned and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Mr. Sanders was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as a machine operator for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus and Seymour before retiring after 30 years. He was a farmer who raised cattle and breeding horses. Mr. Sanders enjoyed going to auctions, fishing, attending horse shows, and trail and horseback riding.
Born August 24, 1940, in Parlor Grove, Kentucky, Mr. Sanders was the son of Chester and Florence Tolley Sanders. He married Beatrice Diehm on April 28, 1963, at Green Acres in Scipio and she survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Kyle Sanders of North Vernon; brother, Larry (Karen) Sanders of Florida; and sisters, Martha Franks, Lorena Seal, and Carol Kissick, all of North Vernon.
Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Donald, and Kenneth Sanders; and sister, Deloris Robbins.
