Mary Alice Losey, 90 a 1945 NVHS alumna
Mary Alice Losey, 90, of North Vernon died at 5:52 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Premier HealthCare Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marvin Sweet officiating. Family and friends may call at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 4 until 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery.
Mrs. Losey was a 1945 graduate of North Vernon High School and had worked as the office clerk for Public Service Electric Company and Camp Atterbury. She was a member of the North Vernon United Methodist Church and Smiling Senior Citizens. Mrs. Losey enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending church, going out to eat on Fridays and having her great-grandchildren come and see her.
Born March 31, 2017 in North Vernon, Mrs. Losey was the daughter of William and Mildred I. Hartle Hallawell. She married Paul E. Losey June 29, 1952 in North Vernon and he preceded her in death March 26, 2008.
Survivors include sons, David (Charlene) Losey of North Vernon and John (Marcia) Losey of Franklin; daughter, Rebecca Jordan of Indianapolis; brother, Robert (Tressia) Hallawell of North Vernon; grandchildren, Tara Losey of Butlerville and Grant (Julie) Staublin of Williamstown, Massachu-setts; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Charles Hallawell.
