Patricia L. Eggersman had been a beautician

Patricia Louise Eggersman, 89, of North Vernon died at 6:25 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.

Funeral services were Sunday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Marvin Sweet officiating. Burial was in Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs. Eggersman was employed as a bookkeeper for the former Muscatatuck State Development Center in Butlerville and was a beautician. She was a graduate of North Vernon High School and a graduate of Beautician School. Mrs. Eggersman was a member of First United Methodist Church in North Vernon and she enjoyed quilting, playing cards, dogs, going on family picnics and cookouts at the farm.

Born March 1, 1924 in North Vernon, Mrs. Eggersman was the daughter of Charles H. and Helen Agnes Wetzel Hill. She married Donald E. Eggersman on April 27, 1956 and he preceded her in death on January 7, 1990.

Survivors include her son, Steve (Donna) Shepherd of North Vernon; four grandchildren, Kelly (Gary) Shepherd Pruitt and Dale (Stephanie) Shepherd both of North Vernon, Brad (Dawn) Shepherd of Dupont and Jenni (Eric) Barnett of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Braden Nading and Blakli (Lucas) Wehmiller both of Seymour,Hailey Shepherd Risacher, and Josh and Jerrica Barnett all of Columbus, Josie Pruitt of Bloomington, Hunter and Chase Shepherd, Ashley and Hunter Pittman, and Kenzie and Brinley all of North Vernon; two great-great-grandchildren, Allie Nading of Alabama and Gage Barnett of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Eleanor Elrod. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to King's Daughters' Hospital.
