Cody Allen Short, 30, of North Vernon died Friday, January 15, 2021, in North Vernon.
A Celebration of Life was Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will be at a later date at Dupont Cemetery in Dupont.
Mr. Short was a 2008 graduate of Jennings County High School and was a member of Blacksmiths of Indiana. He enjoyed forging metal.
Born October 5, 1990, in Seymour, Mr. Short was the son of Sandra Coan and Ronald Short.
Survivors include his mother, Sandra (Vanessa Hale) Coan of Madison; brother, Chaz Coan of Franklin; sister, Destinie Young of North Vernon; stepbrothers, Dylan Hale of Lawrenceburg and Aaron Hale of Madison; stepsisters, Patience (Justin Deckard) Hale of Madison and Ceira Hale of Lawrenceburg; grandmothers, Brenda Coan (James) Downey and Mary Senior, both of North Vernon.
Mr. Short was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials may be made in honor of Cody through the funeral home to expenses.
