Mildred Baker, 95, of Commiskey died Saturday, January 9, 2021, at her residence.
Funeral services were Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Commiskey Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Raleigh officiating. Burial followed at Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker and housewife and had helped run the farm. She was a member of Commiskey Baptist Church and a former member of the Deputy Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Baker enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Born November 6, 1925, in Buckhorn, Kentucky, Mrs. Baker was the daughter of Arnold and Lula Gay Begley. She married Clarence Roland Baker September 24, 1949, in Buckhorn, Kentucky and he preceded her in death May 8, 2018.
Survivors include her son, Gary (Connie) Baker of Commiskey; daughters, Glenda Baker of Commiskey and Greta (Charles) Raleigh of Chavies, Kentucky; grandchildren, Olivia McMillian of Commiskey, Curtis (Melissa) Baker of Dupont, Faith Scott of Hanover, and Gary Halcomb of Deputy; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Molly Baker; brothers, Emery and Curt Begley; and sisters, Oma, Audra, Dolly, and Ruby Begley and Zonal Webster.
Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Baker through the funeral home for expenses.
