Danny Allen "Salty Dog" Redding, 62, of Madison died at 3:41 a.m. Sunday, October 4, 2020, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2020, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Rev. Dale Boyd officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2020, and one hour prior to services Friday, October 9, 2020. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery.
Mr. Redding was a self-employed concrete contractor and worked for Dave O'Mara Contractors. He was a member of Worship Center in North Vernon and Phoenix Motorcycle Club. Mr. Redding enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar, racing, playing pool, and listening to music. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Born February 18, 1958, in Indianapolis, Mr. Redding was the son of James Redding and Margaret Finley Redding. He married Kelsie Sweany June 21, 2020, in Butlerville.
In addition to his wife, survivors include son, Noah Redding of Madison; stepsons, BJ, Clayton, and Adam Littrell, all of Madison; father, James (Dee) Redding of North Vernon; brothers, Donald Stewart and Marvin (Vicki) Reffett, both of Madison; sister, Penny of North Vernon; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Redding was preceded in death by his mother and a son, Robert Redding.
