Rev. Clarence J. Hubbard, 86, of Greensburg died Thursday, September 17, 2020, at his home.
Funeral services were Monday, September 21, 2020, Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. George Mitchell officiating. Interment will be held at Milford Cemetery in Milford.
Rev. Hubbard worked as a maintenance technician at GE for 21 years and retired from Federal Mogul as a maintenance technician after 20 years. He was a member of New Point Gospel Heirs group in New Point for five years and an assistant pastor of Freewill Baptist Church in Norristown for 15 years. Rev. Hubbard enjoyed fishing and spending time with his wife and family. He was an avid coffee drinker and ate donut sticks while reading the local newspaper and loved spending time with his grandchildren, building train sets, watching them play sports, and teaching them new things.
Born November 9, 1933, in New Point, Rev. Hubbard was the son of Phillip Ford and Mary Marcum Hubbard. He married Nancy Marilyn Gregory October 8, 1955 and she survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Janice (Larry Gray) Brendel of Westport; sons, Clarence (Kim) Hubbard and Bobby (Pam) Hubbard, both of Greensburg, and Michael (Cindy) Thomas Hubbard of Shelbyville; an an adopted daughter, Cassandra (Dylan) Buckley of Greensburg; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; great-great-granddaughter; brother, Danny Petro; half-brother, Roger Hubbard; and half-sisters, Dorothy Gorbett, Georgia Williams, and Sandra Hubbard.
Rev. Hubbard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doris Moulton, Viola Smith, Patty Lyons, and Diane Snyder; brothers, Roy, Billy Gene, and Jimmy Hubbard; grandsons, Shawn Brendel and Phillip Hubbard; and a granddaughter, Brittany Hubbard.
Memorials may be made to the family through the funeral home.
