Winfred "Putt" Barnsfather, 73, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Columbus, died at 1:45 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2020, at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Florida.
Private memorial services will be Friday, September 18, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home in Columbus. Pastor Karen Sutherland will officiate. Public visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Mr. Barnsfather was a graduate of Columbus High School and had been employed with Reeves Reliance throughout his life until retiring in 2009. He loved fishing, especially salmon fishing, playing bingo and going to garage sales.
Born in Pleasureville, Kentucky, August 4, 1947, Mr. Barnsfather was the son of Charles and Ruth Barnsfather.
Survivors include a daughter, Tina (John) Stephens of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Courtney (Canaan) Bowman of Elizabethtown and John "Johnboy" (Lauryn) Stephens of Columbus; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Wheatley of Columbus.
Mr. Barnsfather was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Linda Barnsfather; brothers, Charles, Morrison, Hillis, and Gebus Barnsfather; sisters, Katie Kinman, Virginia Malone, and Mary Sylvia; and second wife, Esther Barnsfather August 20, 2020.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
