Bette Lou Littell, 89, of Vernon died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Majestic Care.
Funeral services were Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Rev. Larry McIntosh officiating. Burial followed at Vernon Cemetery.
Mrs. Littell was a 1948 graduate of Clear Spring High School in Jackson County, and was the owner and operator of Heritage Crafters in Vernon from 1980 until 2004. She had previously worked in accounting for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus for 30 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge, and Vernon Homemakers Club. Mrs. Littell enjoyed crafts, teaching spinning wheel classes at Vernon, and teaching literacy classes at Jennings County Public Library.
Born October 5, 1930, in Kurtz, Mrs. Littell was the daughter of Charles and Audrey Fish Bevers. She married Donnell Ray Littell December 30, 1965, in Columbus and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2015.
Survivors include daughter, Debra (Larry) Bannister of North Vernon; brothers, Rick Bevers of Bedford, and Carl (Ann) Bevers of Chicago, Illinois; granddaughter, Tonia (Ryan) Barberis of North Vernon; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Littell was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Samuel Littell; daughter, Tina Littell; brothers, Morris "Bud" and Gary Bevers; and sister, Wilma Bevers.
