Shirley Mae Critchlow Embry, 84, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, died Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Tennova Healthcare-Harton in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
Funeral services were Friday, September 4, 2020, at Kilgore Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
Mrs. Embry had worked as the office manager of the graduate school at Indiana University in Bloomington and had later been a legal secretary in Tullahoma, Tennessee. She and her husband had also owned a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream store in Tullahoma, Tennessee for 11 years. Mrs. Embry was a member of Cedar Lane Church of Christ.
Born May 13, 1936, in Daviess County, Mrs. Embry was the daughter of Eamer Odessa and Edith Mildred Lewis Critchlow. She married Donald Earl Embry June 29, 1956, in Indianapolis and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Susan (Brian) Ingels of Edinburgh; sons, Donald (Jeannie) Embry Jr. of Tennessee and David (Tracey) Embry of Virginia; grandchildren, Donald, William, and John Embry, and Kelly and Christopher Ingels; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Embry was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene Critchlow; and a grandson, Gregory Embry.
