Mary Elizabeth Bliton Geyman, 83, of Dupont died Saturday, August 8, 2020, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 13, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Madison. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Madison. Calling will be Wednesday, August 12, 2020, from 5 to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until time 10:30 a.m. at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. Rosary will be prayed Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Geyman had worked at the old shoe factory in Madison and later as a caregiver at Madison State Hospital, several different group homes, and retired from Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville. She loved studying about her Native American heritage, camping with her family and reading. She was a long-time member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Born July 15, 1937, in Jefferson County, Mrs. Geyman was the daughter of Ralph D. Bliton and Lorene Ruby Scudder Bliton. She married Ralph E. Geyman February 14, 1954, and he preceded her in death. She then married John Lindell Lindsay July 16, 2001, in Rising Sun, and he survives.
Other survivors include sons, Edward Geyman of Winchester, Ohio, Daniel (Robin) Geyman of Madison, and Ralph Geyman of Deputy; daughters, Kimberly Klein of Largo, Florida and Elonda (Rick) Zinge of Pinellas Park, Florida; Stepdaughter, Christy Lindsay of Fayetteville, Arkansas; stepson, Cory (Gabriella) Cook of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Angie, Jill, Eddie, Mitch, Erin, Stephanie, kristopher, Ashley, Jacob, Kristen, Sam, and Anthony; step-granddaughter, Lindsay Cook; several great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Burkhardt of Milton, Kentucky.
Mrs. Geyman was preceded in death by her parents; husband; twin sons, Larry and Gary Geyman; daughter, LaDonna Geyman; grandson, Justin Geyman; great-granddaughter, Emma Chandler; stepson, Shawn Lindsay; and brothers, Ralph and Raymond Bliton.
