Jeremy Ryan Cox, 38, Collins Funeral Home
Jeremy Ryan Cox, 38, of Hanover died Sunday, July 26, 2020, at his residence.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at First Christian Church in Scottsburg. Pastor and Police Chaplain J.D. Traylor officiated.
Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg was entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. Cox graduated from Scottsburg High School in 2000 and then attended Vincennes University earning an Associate's Degree in Conservation Law. He was a senior patrolman at the Madison Police Department in Madison where he worked for the last 13 years. Mr. Cox had previously worked in the gun department at Scott's Ace Hardware in Scottsburg. He was baptized at the First Christian Church in Scottsburg, was currently a member of the Hanover Baptist Church and the Stacks of Power F.O.P. Lodge # 128 in Madison. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter.
Born March 26, 1982, in Columbus, Mr. Cox was the son of Michael L. Cox and Charlotte G. Bales Cox.
Survivors include his daughter, Allison Lynn Cox of Madison; fiancee, Ellen Goble; of Madison; her son, Isaac of Madison; parents, Michael and Charlotte Cox of Deputy; and a sister, Amber (Rusty) Lee of Lexington, South Carolina.
Donations may be given in memory through the funeral home to Coxstrong Relay for Life Team.
