Jeffrey Alan Jewell, 60 loved NASCAR sport
Jeffrey Alan Jewell, 60, of Sunman died Friday, July 10, 2020, at 6:35 p.m. at his home.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. Michelle Rowlett officiated. Interment followed at Vevay Cemetery in Vevay.
Mr. Jewell had attended Southwestern High School and graduated from Ivy Tech. He had worked for 30 years at Clifty Inn as a cook and also at Madison Precision for 12 years. Mr. Jewell loved riding motorcycles, dirt track racing, NASCAR, collecting NASCAR memorabilia, watching Monday night wrestling, and being with his grandchildren. He loved his dog.
Mr. Jewell was born February 28, 1960, the son of Scott Cantrell Sr. and Georgia Frances Cochran Jewell. He first married Faith Crabtree and then later married Linda Welch.
Survivors include his mother of Madison; companion, Tammie Green of Sunman; sons, Paul (Jessica) Skirvin of Carrollton, Kentucky and Josh Jewell of Madison; daughters, Jessica, Kristina (Aaron Fox), and Katelin Jewell, all of Madison; grandchildren, Bladen, Jasper, Zaylee, Constance, Paige, Shawn, Landen, Preston, Zayden, Maylin, Kloe, Gavin, Averi, Bailey, Auston, Hudson, Miley, Tyson, and Lilly; brothers, Richard (Holly) Robinson of Commiskey, Tommy (Bev) Robinson of Shelbyville, and Scott (Shannon Konkle) Jewell of Deputy; sister, Patty Chase of Florence.
Mr. Jewell was preceded in death by his father; brother, Joseph Jewell; grandparents, George and Mildred Brown Cochran and James and Sallie Hicks Jewell; and granddaughter, Precious Bartholomew.
