William A. Bush, 87, was U.S. Army vet
William Andrew "Bill" Bush, 87, of Lexington died Saturday, July 4, 2020, at his residence.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 7 p.m. at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Bro. Bob Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery near Deputy. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2020, from 4 p.m. until time of services.
Mr. Bush was a 1951 graduate of Deputy High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He had worked at Cosco in Columbus, retiring in 1993 and also farmed for many years. Mr. Bush was a member of North Madison Christian Church and enjoyed being outdoors and with family.
Born April 12, 1933, in Deputy, Mr. Bush was the son of Otis H. And Della Mae Vanover Bush. He married Ruby Baker November 2, 1952, in Austin.
Survivors include his son, William "Bill" (Tracy) Bush of Lexington; daughters, Sheila (Jerry) Coy of Deputy, Terri Seibert and Lora Bush, both of Scottsburg, and Donna (William) Griffin of Lexington; grandchildren, Amanda (Brad) Briggs, Heather (Rusty) Reel, James (Liz) Maggard II, Amber Stamper, Sarah Stites, Cynthia Bush, and Audrey (Ryan) Boswell; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bush was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvin Bush; and sister, Mary Bush-Povaleri.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan B. Komen for the Cure through the funeral home.
