Chester Leon Peacock, 75, Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home
Chester Leon Peacock, 75, of Commiskey died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2020 at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2020, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Visitation will be Thursday, May 21, 2020, from 11 a.m. until time of services. Only 25 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. Burial will follow at Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery.
Mr. Peacock owned and operated Peacock Mill in Commiskey for 47 years. He was a member of Coffee Creek Christian Church in Paris Crossing and a former member of the American Legion in Seymour. Mr. Peacock enjoyed fishing, hunting and working.
Born May 1, 1945, in Paris Crossing, Mr. Peacock was the son of Maynard and Estella Mae Peacock. He married Opal Davidson November 5, 1964 in Uniontown and she survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include sons, Chris (Lisa) Peacock of Austin, Mark (Tonya) Peacock of North Vernon, Tim and Chad Peacock, both of Commiskey, and Brian Peacock of Seymour; daughters, Robin (Aaron) Taskey of North Vernon and Amanda Peacock of Crothersville; brothers, Ralph and Virgil Peacock, both of Commiskey; sisters, Rosie (John) Ebbing of North Vernon, and Carol (Tom) Pyatt, Janice (Mike) Jones and Violet Gudgel, all of Commiskey; grandchildren, Ryan Peacock and Brittany (Charles) Hollan, both of Austin, Clarissa (Arlie Campbell) Peacock and Keaton Sprague, both of Crothersville, Trae (Leslie) Peacock, Kassidy (Brandon) Turner, Samantha Vires, and Megan and Toby Taskey, all of North Vernon, and Levi and Logan Peacock, both of Commiskey; and ten great-grandchildren.
Mr. Peacock was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earl and
Richard Peacock; and sisters, Katherine Corya and Evelyn Peacock.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
