Mary Lee Hunter, 93, of Sunman died Friday, February 7, 2020, at her residence.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Sunman Community Church, 304 W. Vine St., Sunman. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Friday, February 14, 2020, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 W. Vine St., Sunman.
Mrs. Hunter was a member of Sunman Community Church, the Women's Fellowship, and the Leisure Ladies Club. She was active working the election boards and she loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables. Mrs. Hunter also enjoyed dancing, camping, cooking, traveling, and spending with family.
Born December 14, 1926, in Sunman, Mrs. Hunter was the daughter of Rowland and Theresa Beer Robinson. She married Floyd "Bud" Hunter on August 21, 1948, in Versailles. He preceded her in death February 16, 2019.
Survivors include daughters, Gayle (Roger) Hughes of North Vernon and Sharon (Douglas) Smith of Batesville; grandchildren, Abby (Jim) David of Moore Hills, Brian (Karen) Kirschner of Greenfield, Stephanie (Jeff) Bell of Eaton, and Kara (Brendan) Demeester of Noblesville; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Catherine Pohlmeyer; and brother, Glenn Robinson.
Memorial contributions may be directed through the funeral home to Sunman Community Church or to the Sunman Life Squad.
