Robert L. Smith, 90 a retiree of Cummins

Robert L. Smith, 90, of Seymour died Monday, February 10, 2020, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour Friday, February 14, 2020, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Allen White officiating. Burial, with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, February 13, 2020, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, February 14, 2020, from 12 noon until services.

Mr. Smith was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Cummins Engine Company. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Moose Lodge 418, VFW Post 1925 and American Legion 89.

Born in Jennings County, Mr. Smith was the son of Randolph J. and Luna Reed Smith.

In 1964 Robert Smith married Virginia "Ginny" Smith at Seymour Christ Temple.

Survivors include his children, Bobbie (Herky) Brenner, Jeff (Diane) Smith, and Patty Jo (Chan) Ferriera; grandchildren, Linda Garrett, Teresa and William Coons, Gretchen Brenner -Davis, Cory Brenner, Ben Smith, Leah Perky, Mason Killion, Jessica and Stephanie Jones, Tyler and Manda Holt, and Patrick Fitch: several great-grandchildren; brother, Edward (Carrie) Smith; and companion, Beverly Findley.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughters, Rebecca Coons and Joyce Fitch; son, Tommy Foster; brothers, Ernest, Farrell, and Randolph Smith, and Orville Scott; and sisters, Erma Sutton, Helen Maxwell, Lela Curry, Margaret Marling, and Dorothy Storey.

Memorials to Cortland Christian Church or Schneck Medical Center c/o the funeral home.
