Georgia Maxie Blair, 90, of Crothersville died at 9:25 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2019, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Tampico Christian Church with Randy King officiating. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, December 3, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Vallonia and from 10 a.m. until time of services Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the church. Burial will take place at Russell Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Blair was a member of Tampico Christian Church and had retired from US Shoe & Heel Plant in Crothersville after 40 years of employment. She enjoyed doing word finds, watching westerns, going to yard sales, and looking at flowers anyone brought to her. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and reading her Bible.
Born April 26, 1929, in Manchester, Kentucky, Mrs. Blair was the daughter of John and Mamie Depew Maxie. She married Wallace Vance Blair in 1947 and he preceded her in death in September of 2000.
Survivors include her children, Peggy (Ron) Broshears, Janet (Tom) Bolton, Beverly (Larry) Babbs, and Jeff (Cathy) Blair all of Tampico and Jerry Blair of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Angie Bolton, Melissa (Eric) Buckles, Melanie (Tony) Peters, Ryan Broshears, Andrea and Josh Sheldon, and Erika Blair; nine great grandchildren; brother, Steve Maxie; and sisters, Ada Shirley, Edna Densford, Ruth (Bill) Reynolds, and Ethel Benson.
Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Burchell and Gilbert Maxie; sisters, Sadie Sturgeon and Evelyn Maxie; and a son,Jess Allen Blair.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Russell Chapel Mowing Fund.
