Dorene G. Vogel Maschino, 79, Voss & Sons Funeral Service

Dorene G. Vogel Maschino, 79, of North Vernon died Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.

Funeral Mass will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour at St. Joseph Catholic Church Four Corners Thursday, November 14, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Jerry Byrd officiating, assisted by Deacon Larry French. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Four Corners. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, November 13, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, November 14, 2019, from 9 to 10 a.m. Rosary will be said Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Maschino was a lifetime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church,
and a Rosary Society member where she donated her time and talents of quilting and baking. She worked alongside her husband running a dairy and grain farm in Hayden. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, embroidery, baking, canning and rocking babies. Mrs. Maschino was known for her pies, her ability to make anything grow with her green thumb, and her warm smile.

Born in Four Corners, Jennings County, Mrs. Maschino was the daughter of Albert and Ethel Maschino Vogel. On August 6, 1960, she married Amos Maschino and he preceded her in death August 12, 2018.

Survivors include her children, Annette (Mike) Pollert, Vicki (Tom) Joslin, Peggy (Roberto) Garcia, Jeff (Diane), Tim (Sandy), and John (Missi) Maschino, Kathy (Tracy) Wehmiller, and Amy (Greg) Densborn; 24 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Clarence (Mary Jane), Gilbert (Joyce), and Melvin (Becky) Vogel.

Mrs. Maschino was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorials may be written to St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Four Corners, in care of the funeral home.
