Norma Jean Lucas, 85, of Crothersville died at 9:53 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Scottsburg.
Pastor David Schill and Brennan Lucas will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville, with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, September 18, 2019, from 10 until time of services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lucas was a 1952 Crothersville High School graduate. She was a homemaker, mother, and caretaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Crothersville and enjoyed quilting and sewing.
Born July 27, 1934, in Crothersville, Mrs. Lucas was the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy Pheral Weddle. In 1955, she married Alfred Eugene Lucas in Crothersville and he preceded her in death October 2, 1996.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Sue Lucas of Crothersville; son, Joseph (Connie) Lucas of Austin; grandchildren, Shaleigh (Baylan) Gardner of Scottsburg and Brennan (Camry) Lucas of Jeffersonville; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Edwin (Carloyn) Weddle of Crothersville, Dr. Gordon (Mary Jane) Weddle of Campbellsville, Kentucky, and Ruth Baldridge of Fulerton, California.
