Lynetta Kay "Lynn" Porter, 53, of North Vernon died Monday, July 8, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019, at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Caleb Reynolds officiating. Family and friends may call from 6 p.m. until time of services at the church. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service was entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Porter was a 1983 graduate of Brownstown High School and attended Vincennes University. She was a housewife and attended the First Church of the Nazarene and was a former member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Easyville. Mrs. Porter enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and making zucchini bread.
Born December 4, 1965, in Seymour, Mrs. Porter was the daughter of Steven C. and Kay Rector Davers. She married Michael Porter May 15, 1986, at the Church of Jesus Christ, Easyville and he survives.
In addition to her husband, survivors include sons, Michael and James Porter, both of North Vernon; daughter, Autumn (David) Booth of North Vernon; brothers, James Davers of Jonesville and Damon (Shelly) Davers Sr. of Vernon; grandchildren, Landyn Porter and Christopher, Timothy, Elizabeth, Nathaniel and Zachary Booth, all of North Vernon.
Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson; a granddaughter; and brother, Steven Davers, Jr.
