John Hollin, 87, of Brownstown died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at The Waters of Scottsburg.
Funeral services were Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with burial following at Crothersville Cemetery.
Mr. Hollin retired from the Golden Foundry. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, hunting, and raising tobacco.
Born September 4, 1931 in Manchester, Kentucky, Mr. Hollin was the son of Henry Hollin and Mollie Maxie Hollin. On January 12, 1953 in Manchester, Kentucky, he married Ora Wooten and she died November 15, 2011.
Survivors include children, Jewell (Roy Jr.) Caudill of Crothersville, Charlie (Jenny), Robert (Julie), and Cecil (Barbara) Hollin, all of Brownstown, Gary (Mary) Hollin of Florida, John Hollin, Jr. of Salem; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ethel Guy of Crothersville, Catherine Hays of Illinois, Lilly Beatcraft of Shelbyville, and Wilma Spicer of Scottsburg.
Mr. Hollin was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Kenneth and Tim Hollin; brothers, Oscar, Granville, Henry Jr., and Herbert "Shorty" Hollin; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the family to help with final expenses in care of the funeral home.
