Norris Dean Tormoehlen, 82, of Seymour died Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.
Funeral services were at Voss and Sons Funereal Service in Seymour Wednesday, December 5, 2018, with Rev. Andrew Currao and Rev. Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial followed at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
Mr. Tormoehlen, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict, was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and retired after 30 plus years at Panasote/H.O. Canfield. He enjoyed watching U of L basketball, was an avid euchre player, and a member in the CB Radio Club. Mr. Tormoehlen was a graduate of Immanuel Lutheran School and Shields High School.
Born March 7, 1936, Mr. Tormoehlen was the son of Frederic W. and Edna Hubbard Tormoehlen. On December 25, 1957, he married Carol Tomoehlen and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Cynthia (Robert) Toppe, and Christopher (Terri), William (Cindy), and Craig (Patty) Tormoehlen, all of Seymour; grandchildren, Christopher Tormoehlen, Jr. of Columbus, Crystal Tormoehlen, Alex Toppe, and Heather (Kris) Brott, all of Seymour, Kody (Kim) Tormoehlen of Westport, Marc Tormoehlen, Palm Springs, California, Paige (Hank Connor) Tormoehlen of Scottsburg, Danna Templeton of New York, New York, Matt Templeton of Whiteland, Jim (Ashley) Templeton of Noblesville, and Nick Toppe of Evansville; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Phyllis (Woodrow) Turner.
Mr. Tormoehlen was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Memorials may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund, c/o the funeral home.
