Beverly Box, 74, of Scipio died Friday, October 5, 2018, at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Family and friends may call at funeral home Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 11 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be at Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery in Jennings County.
Mrs. Box was a 1961 graduate of Southwestern High School in Hanover and worked for Kroger's in Columbus. She was a member of Alert United Methodist Church in Alert and Bartholomew County Saddle Club. She enjoyed camping and horses. Mrs. Box also enjoyed helping others and was a prayer warrior.
Born August 16, 1944, in Madison, Mrs. Box was the daughter of Wayne C. and Nora "Pearl" Lloyd Jackson. She married Dennis Bernard "Dennie" Box August 29, 1964, in Kent and he preceded her in death November 26, 2016.
Survivors include a son, Greg (Stacey) Box; daughter, Jeanine (Bill) Garcia; grandchildren, Draden, Zach, and Jacob Box, and Corey (Andrea), Lori, Franklin, and Stori Garcia; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Box was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dwayne Box; grandson, Seth Box; granddaughter, Tori Garcia; and brother, Bill Jackson.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Our Hospice of Jennings County, or Alzheimer's Association.
