Carol Jane Hodge, 72 was homemaker
Carol Jane Hodge, 72, of North Vernon died at 3 a.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018, at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until time of services.
Mrs. Hodge was a housewife and homemaker who enjoyed babysitting, shopping, and going to yard sales.
Born October 9, 1945, in Liberty, Kentucky, Mrs. Hodge was the daughter of Marvin and Edna Pemberton Hatfield. She married Bobby Hodge October 10, 1964 in Tennessee and he survives.
Additional survivors include daughters, Peggy (Danny) Riffel and Pamela (Darrell) Brazee, both of North Vernon; sister, Eula (Erdean) Weddle of Liberty, Kentucky; grandchildren, Joshua (Angie) Lucas of Madison, Danielle (Justin Hammon), Jacob (Amanda), Lauren, Clayton (Hannah), Willy, Jerry, and Kasen Riffel, Tosha and Shaunna Brazee, and Nicci Dyer, all of North Vernon; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hodge was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Krista Riffel; sisters, Alleen Hogue, Lois Lanham, Catherine Hall, and Doris Heckman; and brothers, Jack, Paul, and Harold Hatfield.
