Pauline B. Horton, 95 kept family history
Pauline Baker Horton, 95, of Palm Harbor, Florida, died Thursday, July 5, 2018.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Tea Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, July 13, 2018, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services and one hour prior to services Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the church. Interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery.
Mrs. Horton enjoyed keeping her family's history in both written and photographic forms. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, making gingerbread cookies, and many different pies. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, ceramics. Mrs. Horton also enjoyed fishing, playing board games, dominoes, doing puzzles, and taking excursions.
Born September 7, 1922, in Buckhorn, Kentucky, Mrs. Horton was the daughter of Rodney and Mollie McIntosh Baker. She married James Henry Horton who died September 24, 1986.
Survivors include sons, James (Ruthie) Horton of Winter Haven, Florida and Rodney (Janie) Horton of Palm Harbor, Florida; grandchildren, Sharolyn Widrig and Ryan Horton and Kristie Horton Stoltzfus; great-granddaughter; sister Lida Webster of North Vernon; and brothers, Luther (Joyce) Baker of Mooresville and Charles (Betty) Baker of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by brothers, Jesse, Robert Lee, Roland, Billy, and Tom Baker; and sister Edna Lois Baker.
Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Tea Creek Baptist Church.
