Sandra Lee "Cindy" Corya, 67, of Commiskey died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
Funeral services were Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial was at Hopewell Cemetery in Commiskey.
Mrs. Corya was a 1970 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School in Madison and worked on the factory line for Martinrea for 28 years. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Corya was an animal lover and enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and poker, going to the farmers' market, attending truck and tractor pulls, car shows, and helping people.
Born January 24, 1951, in Madison, Mrs. Corya was the daughter of Wilbur Johnce and Hazel Boldery Davis. She married Mike Corya May 27, 1972, in Commiskey. He survives.
Surviving with her husband are a Michael Lee (Jeanette) Corya Jr., of Commiskey; and grandchildren, Michael W., Joseph T., and Mark D. Corya, all of Commiskey.
Mrs. Corya was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Russell and Wilbur Davis, Jr.
Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Corya through the funeral home to the Cindy Corya Foundation, a fund being set up to help families traveling for sickness with their expenses.
