James Leland Kuntz, 72 had variety of interests
James Leland Kuntz, 72, of Butlerville died at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at his residence.
Funeral services were Monday, June 11, 2018, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Rev. Butch Wooddell officiating. Burial was at Brush Creek Cemetery in Butlerville.
Mr. Kuntz served as a foreman for Lithos Container and owned and operated his own saw mill. He was a member of the North Vernon Senior Center and the North Vernon Christ Baptist Church. Mr. Kuntz enjoyed cars, trees, music, singing and dancing at the Senior Center, watching Lone Ranger, and spending time with his dog.
Born July 23, 1945, Mr. Kuntz was the son of Elmer and Irene Meeker Kuntz. He married Mary Ann Shelton Kuntz in the spring of 1993 in Lawrenceburg and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, James (Misty) Kuntz of Anderson; grandchildren, Amanda (Jacob) Tatlock and Leah Davidson, both of Seymour, Dylan Burke of Kokomo, Isaiah Couch of Anderson, and Kristianna (Samuel) Nugent of Elizabethtown; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kuntz was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and brothers Jackie and Gerald Kuntz.
