Mildred Jean Reynolds is laid to rest Monday
Mildred Jean Reynolds, 93, of North Vernon died at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at her residence.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 11, 2018, at Jennings Church of Christ with Rev. Marcus Speer and Rev. Joshua Olds officiating. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services was entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Reynolds was a machine operator for the former Regal Rugs in North Vernon and a volunteer for Hospice. She was a member of Jennings Church of Christ and a former Sunday school teacher at the First Christian Church and Christ Way Church. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, bowling, watching her grandkids play sports, and picnics with the family at local parks.
Born August 29, 1924, in Jennings County, Mrs. Reynolds was the daughter of Joseph and Gladys McNicholas Grinstead. She married Lee Reynolds April 7, 1945 in Vernon and he survives.
In addition to her husband, survivors include daughters, Linda (Jerry) Lamb, Marcia (Jamie) Olds, and Mildred Marie Perry, all of North Vernon; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James, Harold E., Robert E.n and Joe Grinstead; and sisters, Margaret Elsey, Louise Stewart, Dorothy Burns, and Betty Clark.
