O. Earl Colvin liked to fish and play his guitar
O. Earl Colvin, 84, of Crothersville died Monday, May 14, 2018.
Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. until time of services.
Mr. Colvin was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Cummins Engine Company, Inc. and then went to work at Arvin Industries from where he also retired. He liked to fish and play guitar. Mr. Colvin loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Born in Scott County January 6, 1934, Mr. Colvin was the son of Harrison E. and Agnes Owens Colvin. He married Mary Anna Stewart in Columbus July 21, 1979 and she preceded him in death December 30, 2017.
Survivors include his children, Leota (David) Satterthwaite and Samantha (Grover) Hanners; grandchildren, Destiny and Alexis Satterthwaite, Lindsey and Tyler Howell, and Autumn and Ashley Hanners; and a great-grandchild.
Mr. Colvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Ray and Dewey; and sisters, Fern, Viola, and Leola.
