Dennis Hiram Foster farmed in the Deputy area for his entire life
Dennis Hiram Foster, 69, of Deputy died Sunday, May 13, 2018, at 3:04 p.m. at his home.
Funeral services were Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. Pastor Bryan Collins officiated. Interment was at Pisgah Cemetery near Deputy.
Mr. Foster was a 1966 graduate of Deputy High School and had farmed all of his life. He retired after 30 years of service with Cummins Engine Company, Inc., as a machinist. Mr. Foster was a member of the former Deputy Masonic Lodge F.&A.M. and was a member of the Deputy Alumni Association. He enjoyed fireworks, playing euchre and cards, and being with family.
Born November 16, 1948, in Deputy, Mr. Foster was the son of John D. and Edna Maxine Dishinger Foster. He married Joy Ann Kiefer Killey at Alpha Baptist Church December 30, 1983. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Dennis (Carol) Foster and Jeromey (Michelle) Killey, both of Scottsburg, Melinda (Scott) Milner of Brownsburg, and Allen Killey, Steven Foster, and Carrie (Bryan) Collins, all of Deputy; sister, Marilyn Terrell of Scottsburg; grandchildren, Johnathan and Ashlee Foster, Brittany and Shane Milner, Matthew, Destiny, Ryan, Dalton, Amber, and Christian Killey, Destiny Denning, and Bree and Trenton Collins; and a great-granddaughter.
Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his parents.
