Lloyd D. Jackson, 87, of Indianapolis died at 3:54 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Rosegate Village in Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home in Columbus. Calling will be from 4 p.m. until time of services Monday, May 14, 2018. Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum in Columbus at a later date.
Mr. Jackson grew up on a farm and graduated from Holton High School in 1948. He owned his own farm in Jennings County from 1962 until 1973 and retired from Cummins Engine Co., Inc. as a material planner.
Born May 12, 1930, in Holton, Mr. Jackson was the son of Eldon and Goldah Little Jackson. He married H. JoAn Jackson on August 28, 1987 and she preceded him in death February 2, 2013.
Survivors include a son, Lynn (Karen) Jackson; daughter, Teresa Miller; stepchildren, Michael, Tony (Kelly), and Darrell Strahl; brothers, Franklin (Sharon), Ethan (Joyce), and Rollin (Juanita) Jackson; sister, Beth Taylor; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Jackson; and sisters, Janet Jackson, Beverly McNeelan, and Winifred Smith.
