Donna Mae Heiman, 88 enjoyed being an artist
Donna Mae Heiman, 88, of Brownstown died Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour, Thursday, March 16, 2018, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Nelson Lee and Rev. Rick Grant officiating. Graveside services will be at Acme Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, March 15, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, March 16, 2018, after 10 a.m. until services.
Mrs. Heiman, a 1947 graduate of Cortland High School, was a member of Surprise Christian Church and the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts. She was a beautician for over 40 years in the community. Mrs. Heiman worked for Marion Kay Spices as a tour guide in their art department. She also worked for Disque Carpet and the art department at Dicksons. She enjoyed her hobby of being an artist.
Born in Jackson County, October 23, 1929, Mrs. Heiman was the daughter of Ralph and Ruby Lutes Anderson. On September 10, 1947, in Brownstown she married Jack Heiman, who died June 24, 2015.
Survivors include her children, Dennis (Cindy) Heiman and Debra (Dale) Shelly; grandchildren, Susan Jackson, Jason (Gabbi) Kindred, Erica Bohn, and David Shelly; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Anderson; and sisters Dorothy Crouch, Clara Claycamp, and Carol Gray Nicholson.
Mrs. Heiman was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, T.J. Heiman; sister, Emma Sorley; brother, Jack Anderson and two infant brothers.
