Timothy Lynn Lowry, 60 was a master stone mason
Timothy Lynn Lowry, 60, of North Vernon died at 4:18 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Castleton Healthcare in Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Bart Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, and from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday, March 15, 2018. Interment will be at Dupont Cemetery.
Mr. Lowry was a graduate of Jennings County High School where he played football and participated in the marching band. He began working in stone masonry eventually becoming a Master Journeyman Stone Mason with the Local 4. He was selected to do the decorative work on projects such as the NCAA Hall of Fame, Lucas Oil Stadium, and the Galt House. Mr. Lowry also assisted with the masonry work on the smoke stacks for the Lawrenceburg power plant and multiple Jennings County Schools. He enjoyed squirrel and rabbit hunting and being outdoors in general.
Born December 13, 1957 in Scottsburg, Mr. Lowry was the son of Roger Lowry and Evelyn Young Lowry Johnson. He married Kathy Money December 30, 1978 and she survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters, Maggie (Chris) Lelak of Edmond, Oklahoma and Cassie (Patrick) Richardson and Luci (Robert) Wyatt, both of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; and sisters, Fairy Rose McGuire, Regina McQueen, and Cindy Scheuer, all of North Vernon.
Mr. Lowry was preceded in death by parents and a brother, Steve Lowry.
