Betty Lois Lovelace, 87, of Scipio died Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 6:30 a.m. at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home in Columbus with Bishop Doyle Myers officiating and William Lykins speaking. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Mrs. Lovelace had worked at Indiana Bell, Jennings County Hospital, and D.S.I. She had also been a homemaker. Mrs. Lovelace was a member at East Columbus United Methodist Church and enjoyed collecting antiques and cameos, going to yard sales, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her family.
On October 30, 1954 at East Columbus United Methodist Church she married Lawrence Lee Lovelace. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Connie (Daryl) Maddux of Mooresville, and Tony (Peggy) and Steve (Shelia) Lovelace, both of Scipio; grandchildren, Jeremy (Lauren) Sprague, Zachary McCrory, Sadie (Eugene) Dye, Caleb and Mallorie Lovelace, Matthew (Kati) Vance, and Courtney Guffey; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Gene Wilber of Columbus.
Mrs. Lovelace was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Paul Wilber; and a sister, Shirley McDaniel.
