Robert L. Gross, 75 an avid bird hunter
Robert L. "Bob" Gross, 75, of Seymour died Monday, January 8, 2018, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Virgil Clodfelter officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of services.
Mr. Gross was a member of Garden City Church of Christ. He worked in the maintenance department at Golden Foundry in Columbus for over 40 years. Mr. Gross enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and fishing. He also was an avid bird hunter and enjoyed working with his bird dogs.
Born March 2, 1942, in Typo, Kentucky, Mr. Gross was the son of Charlie and Martha Gibson Gross. On February 4, 1961, he married Carol Wilcox in Hazard, Kentucky, and she survives.
Other survivors include children, Tammie (Mark) Baker and Neil (Pam) Gross and grandchildren, Sarah and Scott (Whitney) Baker and Aaron and Dylan Gross.
Mr. Gross was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Gross; and sisters, Charlene Couch and Mallie Brown.
