Alma A. Powers, 87 was the mother of 13
Alma A. Powers, 87, of Greensburg died Monday, January 8, 2017, at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2018, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg. Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg followed by visitation until 8 p.m. Visitation will also be from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Mrs. Powers was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Born January 11, 1930, in Hamburg, Mrs. Powers was the daughter of Bernard A. and Estella A. Gurtz Nobbe. She married Richard E. Powers February 19, 1949, in Batesville and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Mike (Tori) Powers of Westport and Bill and Rick Powers, both of Greensburg; daughters, Pat (Bob) Dehner of Columbus, Barb Christianson, Kathy (Wade) Farr, Chris Helms, Carol Faris, all of Greensburg, Ginny (Chuck) Rose of North Vernon, Marilyn (Dan) Helms and Judy Anderson, both of Westport, Lisa (Paul) Sweezy of Batesville, and Sandy Russell of Milan; brother, Charles Jackson of Ohio; and 132 plus grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Lou and Fred Nobbe; sister, Mildred Reese; granddaughters, Tina Christianson, Laura Allen, and K.T. Rose; and grandsons, Eddie Rose and Zach Coomer.
