Margaret Elaine Higgins McCauley Ferguson, 100, of Oxford, Mississippi, died Thursday, November 30, 2017, at her home.
Rosary services were Monday, December 11, 2017, at Waller Funeral Home in Oxford, Mississippi with the funeral mass immediately following at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Joe Tonos officiating. Inurnment was at Columbarium at St. John's.
Mrs. Ferguson had been owner/operator of a music record store called The Record Bar. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Born December 4, 1916, in North Vernon, Mrs. Ferguson was the daughter of Haskel and Bertha Everett Higgins. She married Paul McCauley in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1959.
Survivors include a son, James "Jim" (Marge) McCauley of Oxford, Mississippi; sisters, Ruth E. Hill of Oxford, Mississippi and Roseann Vickers of Franklin; brother, James Higgins of Henderson, Nevada; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Stacey) McCauley of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Michael (Monti) McCauley of Memphis, Tennessee, Jennifer (Nelson) Burford Germantown, Tennessee; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul James McCauley and Paul E. Ferguson.
