Marcella S. Griffiths, 70 enjoyed a large family
Marcella Shuler Griffiths, 70, of Scottsburg died Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at 8:57 p.m. at Hampton Oaks Health Center in Scottsburg.
Memorial services were Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Solid Rock Community Church in Scottsburg. Private family inurnment will be at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison at a later date.
Mrs. Griffiths worked at Freudenburg NOK in Scottsburg until the facility closed and most recently worked at McDonald's. She enjoyed gardening, gospel music, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Griffiths was a member of Solid Rock Community Church.
Born in Powell County, Kentucky, Mrs. Griffiths was the daughter of Roy and Clay Tipton Shuler. She married William J. Griffiths in Scottsburg and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Pam (Ron) Gholson of North Vernon; son, John (Georgine) Pearson of Lexington; grandchildren, Ashley and Devin Gholson and Hannah, Kenley, and Blaze Pearson; stepdaughters, Liz and Jen; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Pastor Mike (Angie) Shuler of Deputy, Roger (Thelma Jane) Shuler of Scottsburg, Bill (Marsha) Shuler of Hartsville, Tennessee, Eugene Shuler of Seymour; and David Shuler of Clay City; and sisters, Dorothy Davidson, Joyce Lamb, and Ada Malcomb, all of Deputy, Donna (Phil) Shockley of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Kathleen Boling of Seymour, Brenda Schmalz of Watseka, Illinois, Carolyn Malloux of Fowler, Lois Bailey and Marilyn Burns, both of Winchester, Kentucky, Geraldine Dillard of Austin, and Bernice Hogan of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
Mrs. Griffiths was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jesse, Bobby, Oscar, and Delbert Shuler; and a sister, Sharon Shuler.
